pointycollars: One of my favorite old photos of Cincinnati. Taken from the Main Street steps, looking down toward Main, just above Seitz St., around 1940. It’s fascinating that only a few of the buildings in this photo remain today - the house on the far left being one of them. The steps replaced the Mt. Auburn Incline that ran here from 1872 until it was dismantled in 1898.
